Designed to deliver superior performance in crushing abrasive materials, GURSAN Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers produce perfectly cubical and fine material through a high-speed rotor and rock-on-rock crushing principle. With low wear costs and easy maintenance, they are the ideal solution for long-lasting and efficient production.
There are 3 types of crushing chambers that can be installed according to the application.
- Closed Rotor with Rock Shelf: This system will be generally used for processing the most abrasive and hard materials. In addition to that this system offers the lowest costs in maintenance expenses.
- Closed Rotor with Anvil Ring: This system will be generally used for processing the medium abrasiveness and hardness. In addition to that, this system combines closed rotor systems with low maintenance costs and anvil systems with high and homogeneous crushing.
- Open Rotor with Anvil Ring: This system will be generally used for processing less abrasive and soft material. This system offers a high crushing percentage and has the advantage of accepting larger materials.
In a closed rotor, the material fed into the machine is cushioned by centrifugal force on the rotor’s inner walls, acting as a lining for the surfaces where the material flows through the rotor. Additionally, diamond tips made of highly wear-resistant material are located at the points where the material exits the rotor through the rotor openings. This reduces rotor maintenance requirements and allows for the crushing of more abrasive materials. The open-type rotor offers a higher crushing rate, higher production, and the ability to feed coarser material compared to the closed-type rotor, while its maintenance is much simpler.
Gradient adjustment is achieved by changing the rotor speed.

GURSAN Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers also feature a waterfall system. Crushing can be done by pouring material through the rotor alone, or by pouring it through both the rotor and adjacent channels. In this case, both gravel and sand can be produced in cubic form.
